Time for President Obama to take a vacation or not?

There seems mixed public opinion as to whether or not the president should be vacationing right now. Veteran DC reporter Linda Feldmann examines the kerfuffle surrounding the first family’s vacation on Martha’s Vineyard.  

About an hour ago we asked our 35,000+ Facebook fans what they thought and as of right now, the vote tally is 115 voting for his right to vacation and 37 voting down leisure time down for the president.

Former presidents, politicians, and the family of former first lady Betty Ford gathered today in Palm Springs, Calif., to celebrate her life. Mrs. Ford, who died Friday, is remembered for her honest demeanor and dedication to equal rights. Since her husband’s presidency, Betty Ford has passed the mantle of first lady to six other women. 
Here’s our list for the contributions made by the former first lady and the half- dozen other FLOTUS that have followed in her path. Among the highlights, support and lobbying for legislation related to women’s rights, literacy, mental health care, health care reform, child obesity, anti-drug campaigns and education.
